Game Topic

I'm Jacey. I'm a cheerleader and sophmore in high school. Ever since I was born, animals have been in my life and I am definitely an animal person. I think anyone who hurts an animal should be put in jail. I'm a very opinionated person, especially when it comes to the safety of people and animals. So that is why I chose my topic to be Animal Abuse Prevention. I think it will be a good thing for people to learn about.

Game Type

The type of game I'm most interesting in using, is adventure. I think using that for an animal abuse prevention game would be the best option, so that you could go up against obsticles, and things like that. Of course action could be a possible option as well, but I think adventure would be the best.

Protecting Yourself On the Internet

Protecting yourself on the internet is very important, especially because you never know looking at what. If you put the wrong thing on websites, you could be putting yourself in harm's way. For example, putting your email adress, IM names, or personal numbers on your sites, means anybody can see this. You don't know who's looking up something and just happens to come across your page.
Most of the people who need to be careful on the internet is teens and children. They don't really have the best judgement on what's safe or not. So they're the ones who are the most vulnerable when it comes to the internet.

Globaloria has been an interesting class so far. I've had some issues with the coding and such with the computers, but I'm beginning to get the hang of it. I think this class will be very good for me considering how much technology has grown recently. I can't wait to see what else this class holds for me.
Clearly, I'm no good at blogging, but I guess I'll get better at it.
This year, I hope to get better with using computers and  programs on the computer. For our social issue game, we are using animal abuse as our topic. Mostly I'm excited to find new things about computers, including coding, and how to create games. I'm mostly scared about messing up and the deadlines for everything, considering I don't work well against the clock.
